Interbike ‘08 : WTB Tires and Rims

My first appointment on day one of the indoor show was with one of my favorite marketing guys in the industry, Dain Zaffke, from WTB.  The purpose was for TheBikeLab and also to get the scope on the new 650b tires and rims that I mentioned in the previous OS Bikes post.

Tires : As I have stated the Wolverine in 2.2.  There was one on hand that was tucked away in the back from eager eyes.  This tire should be ready to test ride and getting into production around spring of ‘09.  A great, fast, tire that will be perfect for Charlotte, NC!

Rims : LaserDisc Trail.  Sitting at 27mm this will be a good rim to spread out the 2.2 tire around.

    This would be huge to the 650B movement: WTB rims! These would go great with my new Soma B-side (assuming it is actually released this spring! Come on SOMA!!!)

    I tried my darndest to track down that Soma but I couldn’t find it at Interbike.
